The Toby Creek River is born from high alpine glaciers capping the Purcell's. It carves a turquoise ribbon through mountain wilderness and steep canyons as it rushes downstream to join the Columbia river. This classic whitewater rafting adventure offers thrills and excitement through the twists and turns of the class I-III rafting section. This is a great trip for the first time whitewater rafter or the seasoned professional. Trip length approximately 2 hours.
Toby Creek is home to spectacular views and offers thrilling whitewater rafting and family fun. This 2-hour trip is ideal for the young – and the young at heart – and this river is great for first timers, or seasoned whitewater rafting veterans. The rapids are rated from Class One (moving water) to Class Six (waterfalls). The Toby Creek whitewater rapids are 25% Class One, 50% Class Two, and 25% Class Three.
Meet at Panorama Mountain Village, located just 40 minutes from both Fairmont and Radium Hot Springs and 20 minutes from Invermere. Please arrive 20-minutes prior to the departure time.
A bus will drive you to the start of the trip, where you'll be provided with a personal flotation device, wet suits, spray jackets, helmets, river shoes, and changes rooms. Once you're all geared up, listen to a safety speech from your licensed professional river guide.
The Toby Creek is a great first time rafting experience for kids 8 years and older.
